WoW Shadoweave Tailoring Guide

Shadoweave tailoring is 1 of the trade skill specializations available to characters in World of Warcraft. The other 2 are mooncloth tailoring and spellfire tailoring. Shadoweave tailoring gives a character access to tailoring patterns that cannot be obtained elsewhere.

Shadoweave Tailoring Prerequisites

Before a character can learn shadoweave tailoring, he must have the World of Warcaft expansion the Burning Crusade installed. The tailoring character must be at least level 60 and have a skill of 350 or more. Once these requirements are met, it is simply a matter of heading to Shattrath and speaking to the shadoweave tailoring trainer, Andrion Darkspinner. If the prerequisites for the quest have been met, Darkspinner will give the player the “Becoming a Shadoweave Tailor.”

Items Required for the Quest

  • 1 Bolt of Imbued Netherweave Cloth
  • 1 Primal Shadow
  • 1 Primal Fire

It is possible for a World of Warcraft tailor with a tailoring skill of 325 or higher to make the first item, but the other items are obtained from monster drops in the Outlands. Once the items have been gathered, the character simply needs to turn them into the quest giver in Shattrath to complete the quest. A player may also pick up the items required for the quest from an Auction House in any of the major cities in the game.

Shadoweave Tailoring Considerations

Any attempt at making a shadoweave cloth will produce two of the same items. While making shadoweave cloth is not an ability exclusive to this trade skill specialization, only World of Warcraft characters who choose it will be able to craft multiple pieces of cloth each time they use the specialization. All Shadoweave patterns must be crafted at an Altar of Shadows and each use has a 96 hour cool down time according to the World of Warcraft Wiki.

Most of the items that can be made from the shadoweave specializationare bind on pickup, which means the items cannot be traded once it has been made. Such items can still be enchanted using the enchanting trade skill, but like all other specializations in the game, a character should choose the shadoweave tailoring specialization because it has the greatest benefit to his character.

For example, if his faction loses AV all the time, then the honor and marks in AV may be less than in Strand of the Ancients (SOTA). If queue times are very long, that should be taken into account as well.

Take the Deserter Debuff When Necessary
If a WoW PVP battleground is taking too long due to a stalemate, it’s important to recognize that honor per hour is dropping fast due to the lack of bonus honor. Most players would be best served by leaving the battleground and do something else in WoW or real life for the next 15 minutes to wait out the deserter debuff. The exception to this rule is for healers, who can often stay alive and earn honor without dying. During stalemates, healers tend to have the highest honor earned.

Do Wintergrasp First
If the Wintergrasp weekly quests have not been completed, Wintergrasp should be the first battleground to choose until all weekly quests are completed. Make sure all quests are picked up before the battle and try to complete all of them in one or two battles. Each of the Wintergrasp weeklies award 3723 honor, which makes for very fast honor grinding in less than 30 minutes.

In addition, the Wintergrasp marks may be exchanged for either honor or gear. Because of the option to exchange nine Wintergrasp marks for 2000 honor, Wintergrasp offense battles should always be joined as well since they almost always result in a win since defending the keep is very difficult.

Daily PVP Quest
The faction battlemaster in each major city offers a PVP daily battleground every day. The daily battleground should be chosen and played over and over until there is a win. The extra marks from losses will be used later on to exchange for honor from the same battlemaster. Every two weeks or so, a player should have enough marks from all five battlegrounds to exchange them for 1241 honor per set of five different marks. If there is no win after three or four fights, then completing the PVP daily may be an exercise in futility, and the daily should be abandoned. Nevertheless, the three or four marks gained from losing can be exchanged for honor later on.

PVP Battleground Holiday
When a battleground is on holiday, bonus honor is awarded for each game played. Since all battlegrounds are now resource or time based, there is no danger of being stuck in a long battle waiting for bonus honor. Long-time World of Warcraft PVP players recall that Warsong Gulch (WSG) can take over an hour due to the defenders turtling in the base. But those days are over due to WSG’s 20 minute time limit as of patch 3.2.

When none of the above apply, the player should queue up for the three PVP battlegrounds in which he has the least marks. Upon entering the first battleground, the player should assess the situation, and determine whether or not a defeat is likely due to a premade or an unbalanced start.

If defeat is likely, the player should accept another battleground when offered and do the above evaluation process again. By queuing this way, the player maximizes the chance of getting three marks per battle for a win instead of being stuck in a 20 minute loss for only one mark.

A World of Warcraft PVP player should be able to amass honor quickly by hitting Wintergrasp and rotating around different battlegrounds for marks. In no time, a player will reach the 75,000 honor limit as well as the 100 mark limit in time for the next PVP season’s gear.

Some pets are better suited for long trips and questing.  Some will hate you quicker, and as any hunter can tell you it is the end of the pet being under your control. 

Diet is an important factor when choosing a pet. Some prefer meat and fish which are relatively easy to find. Meat comes from drops off of beast animals, and fish drops from creatures along the ocean line. Some pets will eat bread or fruits. Bread and fruits can be found from vendors in the city mostly by a cooking trainer. They can also eat the bread made by mages if you have a great mage friend who is willing to conjure bread for you. Other pets prefer more hard to find diets such as fungus. Fungus is sold from rare vendors and it can be painstakingly difficult to find food for this kind of pet. 

Personality is another issue with pets.  Even the noises may be irritating for some hunters.  Small, low ground pets are better for sneak attacks.  Cats can go into stealth mode to ambush a player by surprise.  Some pets have better friendliness towards their hunter owners, so it is easier to maintain and less expensive to feed especially during long quests. 

WoW Pet Guide – Talent Trees 

Since the opening of the expansion pack, talents of pets have changed.  Pets now have a talent tree of three choices – cunning, ferocity, and tenacity. 

Cunning is an all-around tree that gives both offense and defense moves.  Cunning is also great for solo leveling and even small, five man parties in dungeons.  It is recommended that players also use this tree for PVP arenas since there are a variety of methods to be offensive or help other players through defense. 

Ferocity is the tree to choose if you care little about armor and defense and more about pure dps from your pet.  Ferocity gives pets a major advantage over low armor classes such as spell casters with their ability to provide a large amount of dps while you keep the target stunned.  It is also a great option for hunters who enjoy raids and need to keep up their dps. 

Tenacity is the opposite of Ferocity in that it provides a great way to turn a pet into a tank.  It can also be a great way to take on many different mobs since a high armored pet can last through multiple attacks.  The downside of this tree is that they normally have low dps.  If leveling is your main purpose, this tree is best for you. 

Your pets talents are what will make them deadly and you must use them wisely. Once you reach higher levels you might decide to have more then one pet and each pet specialized in certain things. I personally have a cat and a bear as my main pets. I use the bear as a tank when I level or quest and I use my cat for dps whenever I want some PVP action.

This is through the auction houses in World of Warcraft. The best part about this it doesn’t take a lot of time so you will have more time to do the things you want to do in World of Warcraft. You will be flying circles only when you want to and you will never buy gold again because it will be easy for you to make on your own working the auction house.

Know we will start you on your path to becoming a master at the World of Warcraft auction house. In this article I will explain a couple of the key ingredients to successfully working the auction house for easy wow gold profits. The first thing we are going to need to start buying low and selling high is an add-on.

The add-on we are going to be working with in relation to the auction house is Auctioneer. This add-on is an amazing tool for easy gold farming in World of Warcraft. The add-on has a lot of options that can be overwhelming we don’t really need to mess with any of those so don’t worry about them too much. The main thing we are going to be using is the buy tab that will appear in the auction house once you have installed Auctioneer. So in conclusion don’t waste your time gold farming the old school way this is a lot of hard boring repetitive work for slow gold and don’t buy gold either. Blog on Making Gold in World of Warcraft

This isn’t a confession but a fact: I have never taken an economics course. I have never taken a course on SEO or online marketing. All I had going for me when I made this blog was an idea, motivation, and the entrepreneurial delusion that most Americans are born with. I learned more from writing/marketing this blog then I could possibly have learned from four years of college. You see college teaches you how to work for someone, not how to work for yourself. You can imagine my shock when JMTC seemed to double in hits each month and became a special place for other gold seeking, creative players to mingle.

What is it that makes JMTC such a special ‘place’? I look at this blog and I say to myself I could add this content or that, I could do this differently, and a slew of other additions I’d like to make a reality… but… somehow the blog is succeeding without them. What did I do right? What was the reason for this ‘success’? Was it the content? No it couldn’t have been the content because it doesn’t seem to matter what I write about, people keep coming back to read again. Before I answer the question, think for a second and ask yourself: “Why do I read Justmytwocopper.blogspot.com?”

I have two answers to this question:

1. It’s the reader next to you.
2. You want inspiration.

It’s an amazing concept, but I think it’s true. The first thing I do after a post goes live is check the comments. I don’t look at the google stats, the SEO content, or anything like that. I look at the comments. Don’t you do the same? You want to see what others think and I am simply the catalyst to allow that connection to proceed and prosper. The forums were originally designed to be an extension of the comments section for each post. Now look at them… they are an encyclopedia and all I did was write the titles to each forum… the content is YOURS.

My goal behind writing this blog was to create the catalyst for other players to connect and to inspire them into doing great things. Some say I did this for the gold guide, which I would have a tough time proving was not the case even if it wasn’t. Keep in mind that the gold guide sales go straight to supplying the blog with new features, such as the forum which I pay top dollar to keep 100% up and ready for expansion each month (I have upgraded the server package three times) and I consider it my ‘salary’ for blogging, testing content, and providing new ideas for the community. But you can’t deny the results of my many hours of work: A place where inspired individuals can share ideas about making gold in world of warcraft.

It’s your blog, with my creativity as your foundation.

I then look at the dozens of blogs sprouting from my own. Each one is basically a JMTC clone to some extent, but with the twists that having a different author brings. I absolutely love the fact that people are mimicking my success, there is no greater flattery than copying. I mean this in a good way, I want to see these new blogs succeed just like mine did and I’m happy to give them some link love. Unlike some sites which stop linking to me simply because they think I’m a threat. *cough not naming names cough*. If only they’d realize that linking to similar websites actually helps their SEO; something I learned quickly in this ‘business.’ Feel free to use the ‘link love’ section of the forums for a great list of JMTC-like sites.
